The Healing Art of Lament:
A Biblical path through grief, for anyone carrying a loss they've never had space to process
Do you feel alone in your grief, unsure how to process your pain?
Most of us were never taught the language of lament — the honest, Biblical practice of bringing our deepest pain, questions, and heartache before God. In this small, guided Zoom workshop, you'll join other women doing the same hard, holy work: naming your grief out loud, without shame, and finding God's nearness in the middle of it.
Whether you're grieving a loved one, a relationship, a dream, or a season of life — this workshop is for you.
"I have heard your weeping. I have seen your tears." — Isaiah 38:5
You are not meant to carry your grief alone.
As children, we felt our grief freely and expressed it out loud. Somewhere along the way, we learned that our tears made others uncomfortable — so we quieted them. We pushed grief down, hoping it wouldn't resurface.
But grief doesn't disappear when it's buried. It surfaces anyway — sometimes as anxiety, sometimes as numbness, sometimes sideways, onto the people closest to us. Grief was never meant to be hidden, and it was never meant to be carried alone.
God has given us lament — a sacred way to hold space for our pain, and the pain of others. Though more than a third of the Psalms are songs of lament, this practice is unfamiliar to most 21st-century believers. It's time to rediscover it.
If you’ve been asking yourself...
"Why can't I handle this?""Why haven't I gotten over it yet?""What's wrong with me?"
There's nothing wrong with you. Grief has no timeline, and your tears are a natural, human response to loss. You weren't meant to figure this out alone.
In this workshop, you'll learn to:
Share your disappointment honestly with God — even the parts of it directed at Him
Express your grief in your body, through physical, verbal, or written practices, without judgment
Find grace in lament, understanding it as a God-given way to release grief rather than carry it
